Geely Auto UK Celebrates World Smile Day with Record September and the Geely EX2’s Signature Smile
02 October 2026 To mark World Smile Day1, Geely Auto UK has plenty of reasons to smile, following its best ever monthly sales result in September, with 5,155 vehicles registered, representing approximately 1.5% of the UK new car market.
The landmark result marks a significant milestone in Geely Auto UK’s rapid growth in the UK market. The company recently celebrated reaching 10,000 vehicle sales after 11 months, making the achievement of more than half that volume in a single month a major moment for the brand.
And while September’s sales performance gives Geely Auto UK plenty to smile about, the brand is also celebrating the smile inspired design of its newest all-electric hatchback, the Geely EX2.
One of the most distinctive features of the Geely EX2 is its front end design, inspired by the universal language of a smile.
Designed to bring a sense of warmth and approachability, the Geely EX2’s front fascia creates a subtle smiling expression, helping the vehicle stand out in an increasingly crowded EV market. The “smiley face appearance”, clean lines and friendly styling give the Geely EX2 a unique personality.
World Smile Day, founded to celebrate kindness and positivity, provides the perfect opportunity to recognise both the smiles created by thoughtful design and the achievements that give a growing automotive brand something to celebrate.
“There’s never been a better time for Geely Auto UK to celebrate World Smile Day,” said Michael Yang, Managing Director, Geely Auto UK. “September was our best-ever month, with more than 5,000 vehicles registered in a single month. To put that into context, we recently celebrated reaching 10,000 sales after 11 months, so achieving more than half of that volume in just one month is a huge milestone for the business.
“The Geely EX2 has its own reason to smile too. Its distinctive front-end design reflects the friendly, approachable and optimistic character of the car, while making electric mobility more accessible and appealing to everyday drivers.”
As Geely Auto UK’s most compact electric model, the Geely EX2 combines playful styling with practicality, offering a spacious five-seat interior, up to 36 intelligent storage spaces and a modern electric powertrain designed for urban life.
The vehicle’s exterior design pairs its smile-inspired front-end with feather-inspired LED headlights, aerodynamic proportions and clean contemporary surfaces, creating a character that is instantly recognisable both on city streets and in car parks.
Whether it’s the smile of a driver behind the wheel, the smile-inspired design of the EX2, or the record-breaking sales performance that has given the Geely Auto UK team plenty to celebrate, this World Smile Day is one worth marking.
