Team England announces partnership with Geely Auto UK ahead of Glasgow 2026

  • Geely Auto UK to be official automotive partner to Team England
  • Partnership includes key roles in King’s Baton Relay and Team England’s National Weekend of Sport
  • Commonwealth Games to kick off at the end of July in Glasgow

Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, 30 April 2026   Team England has today announced a major new partnership with Geely Auto UK, who join as Official Automotive Partner as the team builds towards the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The collaboration brings together one of the world’s most forward-thinking automotive groups with the ambition, pride and performance of Team England as our athletes prepare to take on the Commonwealth’s best.

Additionally, Geely Auto UK will play a key role in Team England’s King’s Baton Relay leg (26th – 31st May 2026), with Team England branded electric Geely EX5 vehicles transporting the King’s Baton, athletes and guests across the country, supported by an integrated digital and content strategy. The activation will also include exclusive rights to power the campaign’s flagship Beach Clean event

Geely Auto UK will also be a supporting partner of Team England’s National Weekend of Sport in July 2026 - a nationwide open weekend delivered in partnership with GLL, the UK's largest leisure and cultural trust, offering free access to more than 280 sports and leisure facilities. With participation expected from 350,000 community members, Geely Auto UK will feature across campaign branding, promotional materials and onsite activations, helping inspire people of all ages to try new sports and get active.

About Glasgow 2026
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Scotland, marking the 23rd edition of the Games and a return to Glasgow after 2014. Featuring 10 sports including six Para sports, around 3,000 athletes from 74 nations will compete in this major multi-sport event.
